Housekeeper
10am-7pm
Job Summary
Portage Lakes Nursing & Rehab, a revolutionary healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional care, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
Dispose of trash and regulated waste in accordance with facility policies
Replenish paper products and housekeeping supplies as needed
Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department
Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, families, and staff
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and push carts for extended periods
