Travel Physical Therapist - $1,841 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is looking for a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Independence, Missouri. The position requires a valid Physical Therapy license, BLS certification (AHA/ARC), and a scheduled 40‑hour week on an 8‑hour day shift. Travel PTs will provide evidence‑based care while working within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement therapy plans with manual techniques, exercise prescription, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess progress, adjust treatment plans, and document interventions and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while ensuring patient comfort. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing professional development. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth community or home‑based transitions. Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Clinical experience; new graduates welcome. Additional certifications or licenses as required. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking and service excellence. Strong interpersonal communication. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Basic computer proficiency. Physical Abilities: ability to remain stationary, move about, lift 50–100 lb equipment, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills: work effectively with diverse personnel with a positive attitude. Technical/Motor Skills: fine manipulation, grasp, push/pull, and assistance with procedures or equipment. Mental Requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with and without close supervision, handle irregular schedules, maintain detailed concentration.
