GENERAL DESCRIPTION - THIS IS AN OPERATIONS WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT ROLE:

Central City Health is committed to enabling every patient in our community to thrive through the delivery of high-quality, integrated, and patient-centered care. The RN Site Operations Manager provides operational leadership and oversight of day-to-day activities at an assigned clinical site, with responsibility for staffing, scheduling, coverage, patient access, and efficient site operations. The RN Site Operations Manager works collaboratively with clinical, nursing, and operational leadership to support effective patient flow, appropriate staffing, and coordinated clinical workflows while ensuring operational practices align with organizational standards and priorities. Although the position requires active RN licensure, the primary focus of the role is site operations and workforce management rather than direct clinical practice.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Own day-to-day staffing, scheduling, and coverage for Patient Access Representatives at the assigned site.
• As clinical operations are established or expanded at the site (e.g., 613 Abbott's campus build-out), extend staffing and scheduling oversight to RN and Medical Assistant staff.
• Serve as the site-level escalation point for front-desk operational issues — coverage gaps, scheduling conflicts, patient-flow bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with the Call Center Supervisor on backup coverage for Patient Access Representatives across sites.
• Escalate nursing-practice-specific questions (not operational/staffing questions) to the Nursing Director once that seat is filled.
• Report site-level operational metrics to the Chief Reimbursement & Front-End Operations Officer.
• Partner with clinical leadership at the site (e.g., the Clinical Director's staff, or any future Nurse Care Coordinator) on operational support for clinical workflows, without holding clinical authority over their practice.
• All other duties as assigned by the Leader.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Active, unrestricted Michigan RN licensure required.
• BLS certified required.
• Minimum three (3) years’ healthcare operations or staffing/scheduling management experience; direct clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage front-desk/patient-access operations, including scheduling systems and coverage planning.
• Comfort operating with a primary reporting line to non-clinical (Front-End Operations) leadership while maintaining a professional, collaborative relationship with clinical/nursing leadership on practice questions.

SKILLS:

• Understanding of the dynamics of individuals who have a history of homelessness, substance abuse issues, and mental illness.
• Ability to clarify assignments, establish priorities and communicate effectively; ability to plan, direct, coach, motivate and evaluate the work of others.
• Demonstrated willingness to assume accountability, make decisions, supervise, coach, teach, counsel, and motivate others.
• Mastery of communication and team building skills necessary to lead meetings and make formal presentations; mastery of writing skills required for grants, proposals, and reports; as well as management of complex dynamics.
• Ability to analyze the impact of Managed Care environment on the Programs and apply concepts to program operations.
• Ability to speak and write effectively using proper grammar and punctuation.
• Aptitude to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently within a broad scope of functional areas.
• Ability to influence others in an advisory/consultative/supervisory capacity.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Walking, sitting, and/or standing for prolong periods of time may be required.
• Normal office and medical office environments with exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
• Must be available to work all hours scheduled. These include but are not limited to early mornings, evenings and weekend hours as determined by the organization and Senior Leadership.
• Work hours may shift depending on project or program needs.
• May have close contact with clients and/or their living environments which could include potential exposure to contagious diseases, unpleasant odors and/or to bug/pest infestations.
• Must possess and maintain an acceptable background check clearance, certifications, licensures and/or training as required by Central City Health, federal/state/county agencies, and other entities.
