Daily activities include monitoring Databases, checking error logs, checking the log file size and free space in the data drives, checking Index fragmentation and connectivity of the databases.

Create Jobs, Alerts and Maintenance Plans.

Upgrading/Migration the DB2

Provide database support such as User permission management, backup/restore activities, Index fragmentation, statistics updates and database performance related issues on client-server environment.

Creating and Managing clustered indexes and non-clustered indexes to increase the performance of database queries.

Handle space issues on Production and Non-Production database server.

Create Knowledge articles to document known issues.

Backup Design & Management. Performance tuning on Database/System. Patch/upgrade Management for Database on Server.

Day to Day Troubleshooting with Application. Space/device Management.

Configuring and Managing Production as well as Test database. Creating new databases.
