This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in commercial electrical construction while working alongside experienced electricians and foremen.What We Offer:$25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experienceVehicle allowance & Fuel CardHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysProfessional Growth and Development OpportunitiesWhat You'll Do:Assist with the installation of commercial electrical systems on new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement projectsWork under the direction of a Crew Leader or Foreman while learning commercial electrical installation techniquesHelp measure, bend, and install EMT conduit, MC cable, and other electrical racewaysAssist with pulling wire, setting up wire-pulling equipment, and operating wire tuggersInstall electrical fixtures, devices, and other electrical componentsRead and interpret blueprints and construction drawings as training progressesMaintain clean, organized, and safe job sitesOrganize and maintain tools, equipment, and materialsFollow all OSHA and company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Meet productivity and quality expectations established by the ForemanWhat You'll Bring:High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious construction or electrical experience is helpful but not requiredElectrical apprentice training or certifications are a plusStrong work ethic with a willingness to learnGood organizational and time management skillsAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and commitment to workplace safetyMust maintain a personal set of basic hand tools, drill, drivers, and related attachmentsReliable transportation to assigned job sitesPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and work in various construction environmentsAbility to perform physically demanding work throughout the workdayWorking with our Company:George McKenna Electrical Contractors (GME) has been serving commercial customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region since 1981.
