Job Title: Welder Helper
Job Description

Join our team as a Welder Helper where you will play a vital role in assisting our welders in preparing materials. You will primarily engage in grinding materials using a hand grinder, making it a labor-intensive role. As an all-around shop helper, you will also perform other duties such as material setup, shop clean-up, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in preparing materials using various hand tools and equipment.
• Perform grinding of materials with a hand grinder.
• Set up materials for welding and fabrication.
• Conduct shop clean-up and organization tasks.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Welder Helper.
• Proficiency in using a grinder.

• Experience in weld preparation or welding is an advantage.

The position is based in a non-air-conditioned shop with about 45 employees. The working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, following a 1st shift schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
