Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and infants. Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor patient progress and deliver exceptional obstetric care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and administer anesthesia as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs continuously.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure obstetric situations.
• Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring and obstetric protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
