Frontend Software Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack visualization tools for hardware and software analysis.
• Design frontend interfaces for troubleshooting, analysis, and launch vehicle health monitoring.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design features for real-world, time-sensitive needs.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across frontend and backend visualization systems.
• Improve existing tools and develop new features as requirements evolve.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture.
• Participate in a low-friction on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Professional experience with TypeScript and Rust.
• Frontend development expertise building tools for scientific computing, manufacturing workflows, or infrastructure monitoring and visualization.
• Hands-on experience with time-series data visualization libraries and platforms such as Plotly or Highcharts.
• Ability to design and maintain complex systems on AWS.
• Experience building modern web applications with frameworks such as React.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, product intuition, and customer empathy.
• Proven leadership taking ideas from concept to production at scale.
• Experience with Svelte is preferred.
• Experience with real-time systems such as WebRTC, WebSockets, or LiveKit is preferred.
• Familiarity with WebGPU or WebGL is preferred.
• Aerospace background is preferred.
• Applicants must meet applicable U.S. ITAR work authorization or authorization requirements.
