Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) Cloud Software Group seeks a Chief Privacy Officer to lead and provide vision for its global privacy strategy. Responsibilities The CPO oversees the company’s global privacy program, engaging with senior executives, product teams, engineers, and business leaders. The role includes building and managing a privacy team, ensuring compliance with evolving privacy, AI, and data protection laws, and driving regulatory compliance for privacy, data, and AI governance. Key duties involve leading data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs), managing data subject rights (DSR) requests, and advising executives on privacy strategy. Required Experience & Skills Law degree and at least 10 years of privacy experience, including time in house. Experience in the SaaS B2B industry (preferably five years or more). Global privacy expertise covering major markets and jurisdictions with knowledge of privacy regulations and industry standards. Proficiency in overseeing compliance with privacy and security certifications such as ISO and FedRAMP. Deep technical competence to understand and analyze company products and AI/data security features. Strong communication skills and ability to engage all organization levels. Relationship management skills to develop partnerships across the organization. Strategic problem‑solving with excellent legal and business judgment. Collaborative leadership style that empowers the privacy team and fosters cross‑functional cooperation. Preferred: proficiency with product and system security, vendor security statements, and oversight of product/system security incidents. Preference for candidates based in San Ramon, California. Compensation Compensation varies by location, qualifications, and experience. Salary ranges: NY $258,202–$387,302; CA $269,428–$404,142; other locations $224,523–$336,785. The role may qualify for additional rewards such as annual bonuses and sales incentives based on applicable plans and performance. Benefits Benefits vary by employment nature and country.
