Spa Soak is looking for a motivated, self-starting massage therapist who wants to grow their practice in a supportive, client-centered environment. As a small business with a strong base of regular clients, this is a space where you can truly build relationships, refine your craft, and grow a loyal clientele over time (not just one-time visits). 

We’re especially drawn to therapists who bring their own unique style or specialties and are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills. As a holistic spa, we value a range of modalities and believe in supporting one another’s growth — both personally and professionally.

Skills & Education: Must be licensed to practice massage therapy in the state of Illinois. Reiki certification is preferred, as we offer both Energy Massage (60-Min Massage + 30-Min Reiki) and Reiki as a stand-alone service. Experience in Lymphatic Drainage and Prenatal Massage is a plus.

Pay & Benefits: This is a commission-based position, ranging from $44–54 per hour, plus tips. Pay increases are based on time with us, consistency, and building a loyal client base. We want this to feel like a place where you can grow naturally and see that reflected in your earnings over time. We also offer PTO, a flexible schedule, and discounted services and products.

Availability: We’re looking for a full (4 days) or part-time (2 days) therapist to start, with room to grow into full-time. There’s plenty of flexibility to pick up extra shifts along the way. Weekend availability is important, ideally Saturdays and every other Sunday.

About the Employer: Spa Soak is a woman-owned, boutique day spa located in the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. Since opening in 2005, we’ve built a strong base of local clients and focus on long-term, relationship-based care. We offer massage therapy, energy work, esthetics, and nail services with a holistic approach to wellness.

We’re continuing to move toward more natural and organic, and non-toxic products and practices as part of our overall direction. Our space reflects that — with a sense of naturalness and charm, set in a restored building that was once a book bindery.
