The Role This is a center-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role serving children with autism with an average age range of 2-7 years, focused on early intervention, social development, and school readiness. You'll work in a collaborative clinical environment that primarily focuses on: Center-based services Early learners (ages 2 - 7) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) What You'll Be Doing Conduct speech therapy services with clients aged 2-7 y/o Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients’ goals and needs Help clients improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Maintain timely and accurate client records and reports Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate client care Educate families on strategies for managing conditions Who This Role Is Ideal For Preference for center/clinic-based work Enjoys working with early learners Energetic and playful personality Utilizes a collaborative approach Qualifications New York State Speech and Language Pathology License Experience working with children, comfortable with 2-7 y/os Experience with developmental disorders and delays Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Fluent in English Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and stand on the floor; remain at eye level with clients Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time Ascend is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
