We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in our Cincinnati, OH office. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity; Serve as the point of contact for teams and clientsCollaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during the initial stages of project opportunitiesAssist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviewsCreate project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlinesCreate monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner; Update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthlyEnsure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements; Ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely mannerCollaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases of design and construction; Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation.Participate in project interviews and project presentationsRespond to and resolve client/construction concerns. Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvalsTrain, mentor, and motivate staffBuild, maintain, and develop client relationshipsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, orequivalent, requiredMaster’s Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industryMastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsMastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in mechanics and materials, load paths, design techniques, design standards including steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and concepts involved in structural systems of buildings and structuresStrong training, mentoring and leadership skillsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate effective team building skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysWhy Join Us:At IMEG, people are our priority — with a solid focus on career growth, work-life balance, and making a meaningful impact. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
