About the role As a Career Guidance Officer, you will make a meaningful difference by supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, particularly disengaged youth, to navigate their education, training and employment journeys. Working at the heart of the Jobs and Skills Centre in collaboration with our Aboriginal Service, Koolark, Centre for Aboriginal Students, you will build trusted relationships with young people, schools and community organisations, providing personalised career guidance, practical job search support and connections to real opportunities including training, work experience and apprenticeships. This is a hands‑on, community‑focused role where your guidance helps turn potential into progress and aspirations into achievable pathways. Aboriginality is considered as a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.
