About the Role:

Lake Charlevoix EMS Authority is looking for dedicated and skilled Paramedics to join our team in Charlevoix, MI and the surrounding townships. Responsibilities:

Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing advanced life support (ALS) care in the field

Assess, treat, and stabilize patients using advanced medical equipment and protocols

Administer medications, perform IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and airway management

Communicate effectively with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs and continuity of care

Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and transport information in patient care reports (PCRs)

Maintain and inspect EMS vehicles, equipment, and medical supplies to ensure readiness

Collaborate with fire, law enforcement, and other emergency services personnel on scene

Requirements:

Current Michigan State Paramedic licensure or National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification

Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record

Current CPR/BLS certification required

ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members

Prior EMS field experience preferred; new graduates with clinical excellence encouraged to apply
