Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Operations Finance team, supporting leadership with financial analysis, operational reporting, and business insights that help drive informed decision-making across the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and translating financial information into actionable recommendations. You'll partner closely with Operations Controllers, finance leadership, and operations teams to support recurring reporting, validate financial data, respond to ad hoc business requests, and provide meaningful analysis that helps leaders better understand business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Controllers and Regional Vice Presidents to deliver financial insights that support operational planning and business decision-making.
• Analyze monthly financial results to identify key drivers, trends, variances, and opportunities.
• Collect, validate, and interpret financial and operational data to support business planning and performance analysis.
• Develop and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, and forecasting tools while supporting ad hoc analytical requests from business leadership.
• Perform variance analysis and root cause investigations to explain financial results, answer business questions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL, Excel, and Power BI to deliver actionable business insights.
• Partner with finance leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements, reporting enhancements, and increased automation.
• Monitor business performance and emerging trends to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, operational finance, accounting, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate meaningful business insights.
• Experience working with SQL to query and manipulate data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience creating dashboards or reports using Power BI or a similar data visualization tool.
• Experience working with large datasets and translating complex information into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and operations.
