Medical Specialties is a 57 max capacity unit servicing internal medicine patients with a wide range of medical diagnosis. Room amenities range from video monitoring capability, sitter rooms (up to 4 and 2 patients), ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms. Charge nurse & supervisor on every shift. Required to float to MS and MS/Tele. BLS required, CPI preferred. The average ratios for our floor is 1:5 for days and 1:6 for nights; however, our day shifters do have to go up to 6 at times and our nights shifters at 7. Prefer 2 years, but willing to consider 1.5 years of M/S experience for quality candidates. Work 50% of holidays that fall within contract. RTO not granted for holidays but will work with traveler on which holidays they want to work to meet their 50% requirement. Will accept first time travelers! No locals within 50 miles. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.

Essential Job Functions: (1) the ability to work at clients assigned work location throughout the full term of the contractual engagement, (2) the ability to work the substantial time of the assigned shift, (3) the ability to take call, (4) the ability to work assigned weekends, and (5) the ability to work at least 50 percent of the holidays that occur during the contract.
