Senior Trademark Paralegal

Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Trademark Paralegal to support its Trademark Prosecution practice. This role assists attorneys with a wide range of domestic and international trademark matters, including filings, portfolio management, and client communications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trademark prosecution, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. This position works closely with attorneys, clients, and international trademark agents to ensure accurate and timely management of trademark portfolios.

Responsibilities

Prepare, file, and maintain trademark documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign trademark offices, including applications, responses to office actions, statements of use, extensions, renewals, assignments, and other filings.
Generate and review global trademark search reports using trademark search platforms.
Prepare client cost estimate spreadsheets and assist with tracking filing expenses.
Establish and maintain trademark prosecution files and related documentation.
Draft routine correspondence and client communications related to trademark filings and prosecution.
Manage docket entries, including monitoring deadlines, clearing tasks, and maintaining reminders.
Coordinate with clients and foreign trademark agents regarding filings, documentation, and status updates.

Requirements

High school diploma required; four-year college degree strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in domestic and international trademark prosecution.
Experience using USPTO systems, electronic IP research tools, and trademark docketing systems (such as Inprotech or similar platforms).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard legal technology tools.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload with multiple deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to professionalism and collaboration.
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, or occasional travel.
