Assistant Executive Director

Opelika Housing Development, Inc. is currently seeking highly motivated, experienced, and trustworthy candidates to fill the Full-time position of Assistant Executive Director for properties in the Opelika, AL area. Duties will include, but not be limited to: The Assistant Executive Director (AED) serves as the second-in-command to the Executive Director and provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, policy direction, and organizational management across all major functions of the Opelika Housing Authority (OHA) including: PBRA, Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), Community Development, Real Estate Development, Finance Alignment, Asset Management, and Human Resources. This position ensures OHA's programs, services, business operations, and development initiatives align with HUD requirements, Board policy, and the long-term strategic goals of the Authority and the City of Opelika. The Assistant Executive Director acts as the Executive Director in their absence and provides management-level guidance, problem-solving, and decision-making authority for internal operations and external partnerships.
