Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a well-established distribution company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Northwest Houston. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering stability, long-term growth, and the chance to be part of a collaborative accounting team. Key Responsibilities Review and process invoices, ensuring proper GL coding and approvals Accurately enter high-volume invoices received from multiple locations Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Process weekly check runs, wire transfers, and positive pay uploads Maintain vendor records and monitor daily banking activity, including ACH transactions Assist with audits, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end close activities Provide additional accounts payable support as needed Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Experience working within a manual accounts payable environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting Why Apply?
