About the Position: Oversee and manage certification processes within the Vital Records Unit. Ensure achievement of programmatic goals related to vital records certification. Monitor workflows and operational processes for efficiency and compliance. Engage and collaborate with supervisors, stakeholders, and the public on a daily basis. Supervise hiring practices for management-level staff within the unit. Lead training and development initiatives for team members and supervisors. Develop and manage work plans, including assignment distribution and scheduling. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Provide coaching and mentorship to management teams. Implement progressive discipline, when necessary, in accordance with policy. Make sound decisions to resolve operational and personnel issues effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Review and perform supervised work to ensure accuracy and quality. Contribute to the development and refinement of business processes, policies, and procedures. Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
