Family Law Paralegal

Job Description Responsibilities Assist attorneys with the preparation and organization of legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs Maintain document management systems and ensure all files are organized and up to date Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases Prepare and file legal documents with the court system Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness Transcribe dictations and prepare correspondence Perform general clerical duties, such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling mail Requirements Previous experience working as a paralegal in family law is required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient in using document management systems and legal software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures in family law cases Knowledge of court rules and procedures for filing documents Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
