We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN (as-needed) basis.If you're ready to love your job again, enjoy working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team, and want the flexibility of PRN scheduling, we'd love to meet you!What You'll DoWorking under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will:Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments according to established care plans.Document treatments accurately and timely while meeting all facility, regulatory, and payer requirements.Help residents improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs).Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, adaptive equipment, and fall prevention.Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment to maximize resident independence.Participate in care plan meetings, rehabilitation conferences, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.Communicate resident progress with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.Assist with training Restorative Nursing Aides and provide in-service education for facility staff.Maintain a safe treatment environment through proper infection control and equipment maintenance.Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of resident care.QualificationsRequired:Associate Degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) programCurrent California COTA license in good standingCPR Certification (if required by licensure)Ability to meet continuing education requirementsExperience with electronic medical records preferred (Net Health and PointClickCare)Excellent communication and teamwork skillsPassion for helping residents achieve their highest level of independencePhysical RequirementsThis position requires frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
