\nMachining Manager\n\nTimpl has partnered with a global automotive parts company and is seeking for a\nMachining Manager. \n\nProactively manage assigned department. Responsible to effectively manage on a\ndaily basis each aspect of the manufacturing process efficiently with the goal\nbeing to deliver superior results in a timely manner and in compliance with the\ncompany's Core Values and the Employee Guidebook.\n\nEssential Functions Corporate: \n * Adheres to the company policies and procedures\n * Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values\n * Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF\n 16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies\n and procedures\n * Treats all team members with respect and professional courtesy\n * Always strives to maintain a positive work environment\n * Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget ?\n Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management\n\nEHS:\n * Leads by example adherence to all safety policies and procedures\n * Enforces all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe,\n clean working environment\n * Consistently exceeds / maintains company safety goals\n\nTechnical:\n * Control cost within established budgets.\n * Responsible for meeting/exceeding safety, quality, productivity, cost and\n delivery targets within machining\n * Plans, develops and implements standardization and control plans to meet\n internal and external customer needs\n * Assures internal and external quality\n * Develops, maintains and enforces strong 5S business practices\n * Generates and understands performance reports\n * Promotes department goals by providing guidance to all team members\n * Ensures team members perform to policies and procedures \n * Always maintains positive work environment\n * Ensures effective / sufficient training of new or existing employees\n * Proactively works to avoid employee and production related problems.\n * Supports each department as required to achieve overall business goals\n * Encourages/identifies continuous improvement opportunities\n * Documents and validates the implementation of countermeasures to identified\n manufacturing problems\n * Monitors MES to ensure product quality\n * Maintains an active open door environment to provide employees with a\n productive avenue for solving problems\n * Administers corrective action / disciplinary procedures\n * Makes recommendation to hire, terminate and promote\n * Enforces clean philosophy (5S) to maintain a clean working environment and\n all other policies and procedures\n * Builds and sustain positive team relations and effectively handles team\n relation issues\n * Builds and sustains positive relationships with support organizations\n * Directs all group leader activity\n * Communicates effectively to management and team member\n\nEducation\n * High School/GED\n * 4 Year Degree (preferred)\n\nPosition Requirements and Qualification\n * 7 - 10 years job related experience preferred.\n * Must be available to move or work on other shifts as needed\n * Flexibility in working hours to include, nights, weekends and holidays as\n required.\n * Assembly experience is required.\n\nSoftware Skills Required\n * ADP\n * MS-Excel\n * MS-PowerPoint\n * MS-Word\n * MS-Outlook\n * SAP\n * VAATZ\n * Department Specific software not otherwise mentioned
