Caregiver – Dementia Care SpecialistWhole Life Home Care | Valley Center & Encinitas, CAPay: $21–$22/hour Schedule: Part-time & Full time shifts availableAbout the RoleWhole Life Home Care is looking for a compassionate, experienced caregiver who specializes in dementia and Alzheimer's care to join our team. You'll provide one-on-one, in-home support to a client in the Valley Center and Encinitas area, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoys building trust with clients living with memory loss.ResponsibilitiesProvide companionship and person-centered care tailored to clients with dementia or Alzheimer's diseaseAssist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)Help redirect and de-escalate confusion, agitation, or anxiety using dementia-friendly communication techniquesPrepare meals and assist with feeding as neededSupport light housekeeping, laundry, and meal cleanupMaintain a safe, structured home environment (fall prevention, wandering precautions)Accompany clients to appointments or on outings as neededTrack and communicate changes in condition, behavior, or routine to family and care teamFollow individualized care plans and maintain accurate care logsQualificationsPrior experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions requiredCaregiver certification (HHA/CNA) preferred, but not always required — relevant experience will be consideredPatient, calm, and reassuring demeanor, especially in moments of confusion or distressReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseAbility to pass a background check and provide referencesCPR/First Aid certification a plusStrong communication skills and a genuine passion for senior careSchedule & LocationPart-time hours, serving clients in Valley Center, and Full time hours, serving clients in Encinitas.Specific days/hours to be discussed based on client needs and caregiver availabilityCompensation$21–$22 per hour, depending on experience and skill levelHow to ApplyInterested candidates should apply with a current resume and any relevant certifications.
