Sr. Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Reno, NV that is seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.).

Summary:
We are partnering with a growing engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) to lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) projects supporting municipal and industrial facilities. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for design, power system studies, automation systems, and project execution from concept through commissioning. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:
* Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projects
* Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and motor starting analyses
* Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and related design documentation
* Design PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architectures
* Serve as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverables
* Conduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers
* Support construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
* 5+ years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience
* Strong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
* Experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems
* Proven ability to lead projects through design and construction

Preferred:
* Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
* Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam experience
* PLC/HMI programming experience
* Municipal, water/wastewater, mining, industrial, utility, infrastructure, or data center project experience
* Consulting engineering background

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
