Green Guardian / Safety Watch

Location: Project Site

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5x10 schedule (approximately 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Duration: October 2026 - March 2027 (one position expected to conclude around Thanksgiving)

Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced and safety-minded Green Guardians to support multiple construction crews on a large-scale project. The Green Guardian serves as the primary on-site safety advocate, ensuring all crew members comply with established safety procedures, PPE requirements, fall protection standards, and safe work practices.

The ideal candidate will be confident in identifying safety concerns, correcting unsafe behaviors, and exercising stop-work authority when necessary to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing safety observations and audits of assigned crews.
Verify proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure employees are working in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Monitor proper ladder setup and usage.
Verify workers utilizing elevated work areas are properly harnessed, tied off, and following fall protection requirements.
Identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Communicate safety concerns professionally and effectively with crew members.
Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified.
Document and report safety observations as required.
Operate or assist with manlift operations as needed.

Crew Assignments

Green Guardians will be assigned to one of the following crews:

Roof Vent Installation Crew (working at heights on roofing systems)
Louver and Fan Installation Crew (ground operations)
HVAC Piping Installation Crew

Requirements

OSHA 10 Certification (required)
OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
Manlift certification and/or experience operating aerial lifts
Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices
Experience with fall protection systems and working-at-height safety requirements
Ability to recognize hazards and enforce safety standards
Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments
Strong communication skills with the confidence to address safety violations and direct corrective actions

Additional Information

PPE required
Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of serving as a positive safety leader on the jobsite.
