Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Soliant is seeking mid- and late-career Speech-Language Pathologists who want to help the next generation of SLPs start their professional journeys! We are a staffing company with 15 years of experience in education staffing; we've helped hundreds of Clinical Fellows land jobs in schools and work towards their ASHA Certificates of Clinical Competence.
We are seeking Clinical Fellowship Mentors to fulfill the following requirements:
- Register the Clinical Fellow as an RPE license holder with the California Board of Speech Language Pathology
- Provide at least 8 hours of supervision support per month (4 hours of indirect supervision and 4 hours of direct supervision; of the 4 hours of direct supervision, 2 hours will be provided in-person)
- Guide and coach clinical fellows in their scope of work and professional ethics
- Share feedback on a range of SLP duties, including: choosing and implementing appropriate assessment tools; understanding qualifying criteria for communications disorders; writing defensible IEP reports; navigating student needs, family concerns, and District guidelines regarding communication deficits.
- At the end of the mentorship period, help fill out the supervisor section of the application for ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence
Qualities we seek in potential supervisor:
- 5-10 years of experience in California schools are strongly desired
- Excellent communication and mentorship skills--we work with candidates with varying degrees of preparedness for school-based speech therapy, and seek mentors who can sensibly navigate the different needs of clinical fellows
