Senior Financial Planning Analyst

We are hiring an FP&A Senior Analyst for a global automotive glass manufacturer at their North American headquarters based in Farmington Hills, MI. Reporting to the Director of North America FP&A, you will drive the financial analysis that shapes critical business decisions for this industry leader. This is a hybrid position: Monday through Thursday in the office and Friday remotely. Responsibilities Lead monthly forecasting process supported by the Plant Controllers. Lead annual budget process deliver results aligned with strategic objectives, implementing ongoing improvements along the way. Create and maintain forecast tools and processes to accurately predict future performance. Analyze monthly results and variance to budget forecasts, collaborating with Partners and teams to clearly articulate financial performance. Manage monthly margin analyses of actual financial results and drivers utilizing price, volume, mix and productivity reporting. Partner with management and sales teams to develop, report and analyze key customer and margin metrics and results. Lead preparation and analysis of product and customer profitability, driving improvements and consistency across the business. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA in Accounting or Finance is a plus. 7+ years in financial analysis and complex modeling in a manufacturing company. 3+ years in accounting or financial related experience with product cost knowledge in a manufacturing environment, standard product costing a plus. Ability to analyze complex information, draw logical conclusions about business implications and identify actions. Strong knowledge of management reporting practices, accounting rules and solid familiarity related to SOX. Expert skills in MS Excel. Strong skills with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
