Our healthcare partner in Cedar Rapids, IA, is looking for a skilled RN to join their team and make a difference in the lives of patients undergoing surgery.

As a Pre Op RN, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring they are ready for their procedures. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to both adult and pediatric patients. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and providing necessary instructions
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EPIC EMR
• Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including working 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Winter holidays

Requirements:

• Need 2 years experience in setting
• Minimum of 12 months pre/post op OR same day surgery experience required
• Must have at least one travel contract in pre/post op, SDS, or PACU within the previous 15 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Current/recent pediatric care experience required
• Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license required
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Driver's License required
