Instrumental Music Teacher

Overview Sun Mountain Community School – Santa Fe, NM Sun Mountain Community School is a public Waldorf-inspired charter school in Santa Fe, NM, where we believe music is not a supplement to education — it is central to the development of the whole child. We are seeking a part-time Instrumental Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This half-time position provides instrumental music instruction to students in grades 3–8, fostering musical literacy, ensemble skills, and a joyful relationship with music that carries through a child\'s life. Responsibilities Provide instrumental music instruction to students in grades 3–8. Foster musical literacy, ensemble skills, and a joyful relationship with music. Qualifications Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience Proficiency on at least one instrument Experience teaching music to children preferred Familiarity with Waldorf educational philosophy a plus NM teaching licensure or eligibility to obtain Educating the mind, nurturing the heart, and strengthening the hands.
