Pay Rate $18.85 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeThur06:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site procedures, directing visitors to appropriate locations as needed. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when required. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures. Minimum Requirements Have at least one year of armed security‑related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
