Merchandise Seller for SummerStage, Central ParkThe Merchandise Seller for SummerStage, Central Park, is responsible for operating all sale operations for official SummerStage merchandise and artist merchandise. This is a part-time, hourly, event position reporting to the Assistant General Manager (AGM) of SummerStage, Central Park.Compensation: $20/hourResponsibilitiesThe Merchandise Seller will:Setup and maintain the merchandise sales boothInventory all SummerStage merchandise (count in and out)Supervise all merchandise sales at the venue and oversee all financial transactionsReconcile all cash and credit card sales and create deposit slips under the supervision of AGMInventory all applicable performing artists' merchandise (count in and out) and reconcile sales transactions with artists' management under the supervision of AGMProvide overall assistance to production team as neededAct as ambassador for the organization, answering questions for visitors about the Festival and CPFQualificationsA minimum two (2) years of experience in retail sales and/or customer service experience requiredExperience with merchandising sales at concerts and/or performing arts venues preferredBasic accounting skills requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required, some college a plusExperience working VIP areas and running guestlist a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Apps required, knowledge of atVenu a plusExtremely dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and organizedAbility and willingness to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility and willingness to work late nights and weekendsAbility and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weatherAbility and willingness to work evening and weekend hoursAbility and willingness to lift up to 25lbs, work within tight spaces, move quickly, and stand for long periods of time.The SummerStage season runs from May - October. Applications are reviewed pre-season (April – May) until positions are filled.
