Job Description Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services for individuals, companies, and institutions. It specializes in goals-based wealth management, including planning for retirement, education, legacy, and other life goals through investment advice and guidance. Role Overview Responsible for working with high-net worth clients in a Merrill branch with annual revenues of $100k‑$5mm, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing investment recommendations that align with clients’ goals. The position requires SAFE Act registration and related background checks. Responsibilities Work with high-net worth clients to identify needs, develop relationships, review investment goals, and prepare tailored investment recommendations. Leverage technology to achieve business growth goals and profile activities to determine a client’s investor profile and financial resource objectives. Build a sustainable book of business and provide opportunities for advisors to pursue a career within the bank. Shadow financial advisor teams, sharing market developments and discussing new products to promote portfolio growth. Utilize available resources and technologies to optimize the customer experience and deliver operational excellence. Participate in ongoing training focused on book‑building, achieving financial targets, and progressing to advisory roles. Build relationships with internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds. Manage risk proactively in all business, product, and service transactions using available tools. Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey The Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA) program provides training and one‑on‑one mentorship from managers to develop into an independent financial advisor. Candidates work with both affluent and high‑net‑worth clients, develop relationship‑management skills for an Elite Growth Practice (EGP), and gain experience that can lead to progression into the next stage of training and potential career advancement within Merrill Wealth Management. Required Qualifications Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE). 4+ years of progressive professional and/or military experience. 2+ years of experience in the investments industry. Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within allotted program time. Self‑starter who efficiently manages time and capacity, sets and accomplishes goals, and builds strong relationships. Effectively collaborates, communicates confidently, and engages all clients. Manages goals, navigates complexity, prioritizes tasks, and executes in a fast‑paced environment. Learns and adapts to new information, seeks the right solutions for clients, and incorporates regulatory due diligence. Desired Qualifications Experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded. Strong computer skills and ability to multitask in a demanding environment. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business‑related field. Proven ability to partner and promote lead generation. Experience balancing investment management, sales activities, and new client development. Additional professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and/or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). Obtained insurance licenses.
