Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a busy community emergency department in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a modern, well-supported emergency department with access to comprehensive specialty services.

Position Highlights

• Level II Trauma Center
• Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI/Heart Center
• 11 private patient care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Dedicated pediatric treatment room
• Approximately 30 patients per day
• Patients requiring admission are transferred to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
• Collaborative emergency medicine team

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.
• Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients.
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of emergency medicine practice.
• Manage trauma, medical, and pediatric emergencies.
• Coordinate care with specialists and inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
• Board Certified in Family Medicine with a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience and/or completion of an Emergency Medicine Fellowship will also be considered
• Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• DEA registration required
