Star Lumber is a trusted provider of lumber and building materials, serving contractors, builders, and homeowners with quality products and exceptional service. We are looking for a Class A CDL Truss Delivery Driver to join our team. This position specializes in the transport and delivery of oversized and wide loads, utilizing a roll-off trailer to ensure safe and efficient deliveries to job sites.

This is not an over the road driving position. Be Home Every Night!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Safely transport trusses and other building materials using a commercial vehicle with a roll-off trailer.
• Manage oversized and wide loads, ensuring proper securement and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Accurate logging of delivery stops and DOT time tracking.
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies while on the road and at job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch personnel to coordinate delivery orders efficiently.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMSCR requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver, preferably with oversized or wide-load deliveries.
• Experience operating roll-off trailers and securing oversized loads.
• Holds a Cat 1 interstate license.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and proper load securement techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
• A safety-first mindset and commitment to customer service.
