Clinical Practice Specialist (Education)

SUMMARY The Clinical Practice Specialist – Education is responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of continuing education (CE) and clinical development programming for Allegiance Mobile Health field clinicians. This role builds and maintains the accredited education curriculum, coordinates CAPCE/state CE offerings, and ensures that EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics have the knowledge and evidence-based foundation required to deliver safe, high-quality patient care consistent with medical direction and current clinical guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to) Develop, maintain, and update the organization's continuing education curriculum, including didactic content, lesson plans, and competency objectives aligned to the National EMS Education Standards and Medical Director-approved clinical guidelines. Coordinate and administer CAPCE-accredited and state-approved CE activities, including scheduling, rostering, documentation, and reporting of completion records. Serve as a lead instructor for classroom, virtual, and simulation-based education across EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic scopes of practice. Track individual and organizational CE compliance and produce reports to support recertification, credentialing, and accreditation requirements. Partner with the Medical Director and clinical leadership to translate protocol updates, QA/QI findings, and clinical trends into targeted educational offerings. Maintain accurate education records within the learning management system (LMS) and ensure audit-ready documentation. Evaluate program effectiveness using assessments, skills verification, and outcome data, and recommend improvements. Support the maintenance of institutional accreditations and represent the organization in continuing education matters with regulatory and accrediting bodies. Mentor and provide guidance to adjunct instructors and clinical preceptors on instructional best practices. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Current certification/licensure as a TDSHS or Compact State Paramedic in good standing. Minimum of three (3) years of full-time field EMS experience at the Paramedic level. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering EMS or healthcare education to adult learners. Working knowledge of CAPCE and state continuing education requirements and recordkeeping. Proficiency with learning management systems and standard office/productivity software. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Instructor-level credentials or obtain within 12 months: BLS PALS CPR

State EMS Instructor or higher Prior experience as an EMS program coordinator or lead instructor within an accredited program. Experience with simulation-based education and debriefing methodology. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and/or patients weighing up to 100 pounds independently and up to 250 pounds with assistance. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and prolonged standing or sitting during instruction, evaluation, and field activities. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing to assess clinical skills, read monitors and documentation, and communicate in noisy environments. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel between stations, training sites, hospitals, and partner agencies. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a combination of office, classroom, simulation lab, and field/EMS environments. May require exposure to blood, bodily fluids, communicable disease, extreme weather, and emergency-scene conditions during ride-alongs and evaluations. Requires flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate 24/7 field operations.
