About the Position

Job Title: Hospice RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license (Compact or Montana) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Experience in hospice, palliative care, critical care, or med-surg Description: Provide comprehensive nursing care to terminally ill patients, focusing on comfort and symptom management. Administer medications and interventions per physician orders. Continuously assess patient needs to ensure a dignified, comfortable end-of-life experience. Provide guidance and oversight to non-unionized CNAs to ensure quality personal care. Delegate appropriate nursing support tasks while ensuring safety and compassion. Monitor documentation for accuracy and completeness. Offer real-time feedback and mentorship in a respectful, team-oriented environment. Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds. Contribute to care planning, symptom management strategies, and family education. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care. Provide emotional support, guidance, and education to families and caregivers. Help families navigate the physical and emotional challenges of end-of-life care. Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and communications. Ensure all care aligns with regulatory and quality standards. Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
