General Office Clerk Position Code: ClrkGenOff-8115 Department: Patient Financial Services Safety Sensitive: No Reports To: CBO Cash Applications Supervisor Exempt Status: No Position Purpose: All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI's vision of providing the region's best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance. Key Responsibilities Sort and distribute mail to appropriate departments, retaining all insurance checks Retains mail returns and performs skip trace process Opens Credit Counselors mail and prepares it for contact Per the direction of the supervisor- reviews, prices, and prepares payment to physicians according to the Self pay/Consulting agreement General office tasks to assist the credit counselors on a as needed basis Processes ad-hoc requests for assistants with projects and other duties efficiently with the end in mind Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: One (1) year experience in an office setting Special Position Requirements Exposure Categories: Category III Expected duties do not have potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues Work Requirements Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach to file and organize files Ability to lift 11 to 25 pounds of files to storage area when necessary Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time while filing and sorting mail Ability to deal with clients/c
