Mechanical Design Engineer IIThe Strategic Defense Solution (SDS) team is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer II to join our engineering team in Largo, FL. This position will require ownership and coordination with a highly cross-functional team to ensure quality and compliance of designs throughout the entirety of their lifecycles. The selected candidate will be instrumental in driving innovation in the design, development, and documentation of electronic equipment supporting military communications missions.This is an onsite position located in Largo, FL.Sign-on Bonus EligibleWhat You Will Do:Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers as well as non-technical team members.Create military compliant designs that incorporate custom machined/sheet metal parts with a selection of commercial off the shelf items as required.Conduct and provide constructive feedback during peer reviews.Work with designers and drafters to create, modify, and release documentation such as part and assembly drawings.Interface with a cross functional team, such as Electrical and Systems engineering, to ensure requirements compliance throughout the entirety of a product's lifecycle.Work proactively and in a self-driven manner with an integrated product team (IPT).Participate in investigations into highly complex, open-ended tasks. Search for and identify root cause of issues.Qualifications You Must Have:The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
