Job Description Clinical Lab Scientist I – WD – Arcadia, CA Department: RRL – Operations Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with rotational weekends Pay range: $47.75 – $53.10 per hour; employee may be eligible for a 10% shift differential on second shift and a 15% shift differential on third shift. Additional details will be provided upon selection. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Prepare and test new reagents or controls and evaluate their usefulness based on standard criteria. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established procedures. Accurately enter testing results and review computer reports to ensure correct reporting of laboratory results. Evaluate the acceptability of routine analyses before releasing patient reports. Respond to critical values or unusual results and document actions taken. Perform preventative maintenance and/or calibration of laboratory equipment, documenting actions per the approved schedule. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology or biological sciences from an accredited college or university. Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist license to perform laboratory testing. Zero to three years of direct experience in a laboratory setting.
