Concrete Construction Assistant Estimator

Overview: This role is key to the success of our project planning and execution and works closely with both executive leadership and project management team. Responsibilities: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to assess concrete requirements. Prepare accurate, detailed takeoffs using estimating software (training provided) Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop comprehensive project estimates. Identify gaps or inconsistencies in provided information and ask critical questions to ensure a thorough cost evaluation. Participate in pre-bid meetings and job site visits as needed. Track scope changes and update estimates accordingly. Coordinate with field teams (Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure estimates align with project schedule, logistics, and execution approach. Understand unit costs and key factors affecting concrete construction pricing. Prepare sketches and documents to help project team understand project details Qualifications: Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn new software (training provided) Excellent communication and listening abilities. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Effective team player who collaborates well with both internal and external stakeholders.
