Client Overview: Vernovis is partnering with a manufacturing organization in Western Massachusetts that is seeking interim leadership to support its accounting and finance function during a period of transition. What You’ll Do: Lead and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis Oversee manufacturing accounting activities including inventory, standard costing, WIP, and cost variances Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting for leadership Manage day to day accounting operations, including AR, AP, and cash flow oversight Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and resolve issues Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support ERP/system clean up as needed What Experience You’ll Have: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Prior experience as a Controller Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing financials Proven ownership of month end close and financial reporting Advanced Excel and ERP system experience What Experience Is Nice to Have: CPA or CMA certification ERP implementation or optimization experience Prior interim or consulting experience The Vernovis Difference: Vernovis offers Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Short & Long Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, and 401K.
