ID: 78217276 Shift: Rotating 8x5 Description: HWL Somerville Campus-NANC-0125 Milieu Counselor - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - Must be within 50 miles of the facility\r\nShift Start/End Times: 7am-330pm; 3pm-1130pm; 11p,-730am\r\nOn-Call: No\r\n\r\n***LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY - Must be within 50 miles of the facility***\r\n\r\nOur IVS Clinical Services will conduct interviews for this unit.\r\nMust work every other weekend - will float to other units (typically 5E and 5W) may float to other units as needed\r\n\r\nWill frequently float between 5E and 5W but could be others\r\n\r\nCPI(orientation); BLS\r\nJob Description:\r\nUnit: Inpatient Psych 5 West Adolescent \r\nPatient age: Typically 13-17; (licensed 3-17); waivers for older\r\nMust be comfortable with ADLs, VS, CPI\r\nShift: 8hrs, Varied (NO block scheduling). \r\nMust work every other major holiday.\r\nFlu vaccine required during season.\r\nScrub Color: Any\r\n\r\nThe Milieu Counselor is a member of the multidisciplinary team who, under the supervision of a registered nurse, is responsible for a safe and structured service as well as attending to the individual needs of patients in crisis in an inpatient psychiatric setting.\r\nThe role of a Milieu Counselor will assist with ADL'S lead or co-lead groups, perform safety checks, 1:1 meetings with patients, and will accurately chart patients B/P, TPR & weight. Notifies RN of any changes in vital signs. Accurately measures and documents patients intake and output. Assists patients following through with ADL's (bathing, laundry, toileting, organizing room), maintaining nutritional and hydration needs, and assisting and monitoring the patients needs and other tasks as assigned by the charge RN.\r\n\r\nQualifications/Experience: \r\n-Prior human services, behavioral or psychiatric experience strongly preferred. Inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.\r\n-All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical test. \r\n\r\nSubmission Requirements:\r\nUp to date resume that includes 1-2 year(s) of experience in Milieu Counseling. Travel experience preferred; willing to accept first time travelers. \r\nHigh school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years human service experience.\r\n2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references matching specialty\r\nSkills Checklist matching specialty\r\nDrivers licenses with address that matches demographics\r\nCurrent AHA BLS required. \r\nRTO must be included at time of submission; it will not be guaranteed after confirmation.\r\nEMR Exp Preferred: EPIC Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekly Contract Weeks:90
