Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring adherence to established standards and promoting optimal health outcomes. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status by collecting relevant data and analyzing assessment findings.
• Develop individualized care plans with prescribed interventions to achieve patient outcomes.
• Implement care plans effectively, ensuring safe and high-quality care delivery.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care strategies as needed to meet clinical goals.
• Educate patients and families about health management, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing team members and oversee their responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Maintain valid BLS certification per industry standards.
• Show proficiency in critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Possess ACLS or ARC-ALS certification (preferred or required as per facility norms).
