Job Title: Formulation Technician II Job Description

The position of Formulation Technician II involves working within the Drug Product organization in Plainville, MA, which supports sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role requires you to perform duties related to visual inspection, formulation support, aseptic processing, and GMP activities in a highly regulated cGMP environment. You will be focused on ensuring quality, compliance, patient safety, and operational excellence. The initial training schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm for approximately two to three months. Upon completion of training, the schedule will transition to a 2-2-3 format, beginning at 7am and ending at 7pm.

• Perform all responsibilities of a Formulation Technician I.
• Execute material handling, line clearance, equipment preparation, and manufacturing support activities.
• Conduct sterile filtration, aseptic filling, and related manufacturing operations according to approved procedures.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
• Carry out activities such as weight and dispense, solution preparation, autoclave operations, visual inspection, material transactions, and manufacturing support functions.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, Good Documentation Practices, and data integrity standards.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Support investigations, deviations, change controls, and corrective actions as required.
• Assist with equipment qualification, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Cross-train across multiple manufacturing areas to support operational flexibility.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of GMP manufacturing or related technical experience.
• Working knowledge of GMP manufacturing operations.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support multiple manufacturing processes.

• Associate degree in a technical, scientific, or related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant GMP manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Skills in formulation, laboratory work, chemistry, biology, production, pharmaceutical processes, batch record management, compounding, wet chemistry, process equipment, and biochemistry.

The position requires routine presence in GMP manufacturing and controlled cleanroom environments, with necessary use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You must be able to gown and work in classified manufacturing areas in accordance with site procedures. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and computer-based work, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity is required for reviewing documentation and performing quality inspections. The ability to support operations during non-standard hours as business needs require and effective communication in English, both written and verbal, are essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Plainville, MA.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Plainville,MA.
