This role will primarily create value by improving equipment reliability (capable, stable and predictable) thereby reducing unplanned events while improving uptime, availability and costs. Reliability improvements are expected as a result of utilizing reliability best practices and developing complete asset strategies to manage and/or mitigate the risk consequences of premature failures. The team is made up of 450 employees who produce white top linerboard and solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard. The SBS material is used to make GP's Dixie plates. White top linerboard is used in production of corrugated containers and displays. This position is an opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding organization with tremendous growth potential. The most recent $160M capital investment is expected to be completed in late 2024. Brewton was also the first fully integrated pulp and paper mill in the US to receive an Energy Star designation from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. To learn more about our Bleach Board Division, visit What You Will DoParticipate in and lead effective Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actionsSupport in all areas to meet Environmental, Health & Safety excellenceSupport the Mill Lubrication Program, Precision and Predictive maintenance programsFacilitate area Prioritization meetings to set effective maintenance work schedules Provide support to operational areas with emphasis on short and long-term reliability improvementsProvide leadership to drive continuous improvement with asset and site reliabilityDevelop, implement, and support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment (vibration analysis, lubrication program, oil analysis, ultrasonic, infrared, NDT, thermography, MCE testing, and precision maintenance)Review plans for new equipment and contribute to the Design for Reliability process by validating reliability and maintainability of the systemsSupport implementation of reliability processes aimed at developing skilled maintenance and operating personnel who operate with a reliability-centric mindsetAnalyze operational data (KPIs, OEE, etc.) to identify gaps and areas of potential improvementWork with other Reliability Engineers to share knowledge and gain expertise in development of mill wide reliability strategiesActively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptimeApply sound logic and scientific principles to problem solvingEffectively manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneouslyWork both individually with little supervision and together with a teamWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Reliability experience in a manufacturing/heavy industrial or military environmentExperience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, and OutlookWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor’s Degree in Engineering Pulp and Paper industry experienceCertification or continued education in reliability applications, practices, and managementExperience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Preventative/Predictive maintenance, KPIsExperience with vibration, ultrasound, or infrared analysisSix Sigma experience or certificationAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
