ST - Surgical Tech - Neuro-Cardiac - Days

Position Overview Sign On Bonus : Up to $6,000 (if applicable) Department : Cardiac Cath Lab Schedule : Monday-Friday, Day shift; on-call every 5 weeks Work Location : UAB St Vincent's Birmingham Benefits for eligible positions only include : generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more The Cardiac Cath Lab at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham provides expert cardiac care in an outpatient setting utilizing cutting-edge technology with three fully equipped cath labs and two non-invasive labs. We offer a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including procedures like heart catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), as well as advanced imaging techniques such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS, OCT) and functional assessments (FFR/iFR). As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work in an environment where your expertise can make a lasting impact What You Will Do Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures. Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. Associate's degree or technical degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year neuro or cardiac experience preferred. Additional Preferences Operating Room or Procedural experience strongly preferred.
