Location Jamestown, ND Shift Various days during the week with Sunday be a required work day Job Schedule Part Time Weekly Hours up to 24 hours Job Summary The Spiritual Care Coordinator exists to bring a holistic vision to the Anne Carlsen Center in body, mind and spirit. This position provides spiritual and pastoral support for clients, their families, and staff. Education and/or Years’ Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in religion, theology, divinity or a related field of study. Completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education from the Association of Pastoral Education or equivalent experience. Chaplain’s certification or have met all qualifications to obtain a chaplain certification from an administering institution (e.g., Healthcare Chaplaincy Ministry Association or the Association of Professional Chaplains). Preferred Skills and Abilities Master’s degree in religion, theology, divinity, or a related field of study One year of Chaplaincy/spiritual care experience in acute care, hospice, long-term care, and/or residential care settings Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from the Association of Pastoral Education Experience in or willingness to specialize in pediatrics/youth along with experience or a commitment to develop skills in working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Supervision of Others / Decision Making Aptitude This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities. The Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing visiting clergy and priests, volunteers, and student interns.
