Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (RN) Springfield, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy interventional cardiac catheterization lab. The role requires clinical expertise in diagnostic and interventional procedures, with a focus on adult patient care. The RN will support a 25-patient daily census on a 5-room unit, with a focus on procedural sedation, dysrhythmia management, and patient monitoring.

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12-hour days (06:30 AM 07:00 PM)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, active Illinois nursing license, ACLS and BLS certifications, interventional cardiac cath lab experience including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations such as adult left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterization, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic health record system, prior work in a Level I trauma center, hospital or community hospital experience preferred.
• Schedule: Days, 36 hours per week, with the possibility to work 2-3 weekends per contract.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable floating within scope to meet facility needs, work during major holidays, and have active Illinois license in hand at time of application. RTO restrictions generally limited to no more than 5 days; on-call required as needed. Orientation includes 36 hours of pre-hire training, with virtual Day 1 orientation completed from home. Candidate must review and confirm RTO, start date, and housing arrangements prior to submission.
