Come help us make entertainment more interactive, fun and social. About the job: We’re seeking talented senior engineers to help build the best mobile games on the planet. This is a senior role focused on building the best experience possible for our customers. You’ll be responsible for developing the python backend than powers our iOS, Android and HTML5 SDKs. Successful candidates will be strong back-end developers with experience shipping high-profile, user-facing products. Working in large code bases, and engineering features for interactivity, scalability & high availability. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate deep expertise in one or more of: API design, JSON, Python, NoSQL databases (we use Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB and CouchBase) Responsibilities: Collaborate with product management to define, architect, and build new customer-facing game features. Own, operate, and maintain your services in production. Tackle some of the most challenging problems in distributed cloud computing, API design, and more. Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment. Requirements: You ship software fast and frequently. A Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience. 5 years in industry as a developer working on mission-critical, user-facing systems. Strong background in distributed systems and python Experience with NoSQL, such as Cassandra, MongoDB, etc. Passionate. Persistent. Creative. You find clever ways around problems, or just plow through them. Bonus points: Knowledge of an infrastructure automation tool such as Chef or Puppet. You’re a gamer and you love sports.
